Such an activity may or may not involve leave from work.\u00a0 The purpose of this type of training will be to acquire skills and\/or knowledge that will enhance the employee\u2019s role in the college and\/or enhance the employee\u2019s expertise in their discipline or specialization.\u00a0 Only those courses that have a formalized curriculum and\/or an evaluation of learning outcomes will be recognized in this category.\u00a0 (Conferences are specifically excluded in the definition of Specialized Training.)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Eligibility:<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>SPECIALIZED TRAINING <\/strong>funding is available to any permanent employee upon successful completion of probation plus one (1) year\u2019s service, subject to these conditions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Only one (1) application for either Long-Term Professional Development or Specialized Training per year will be considered<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>http:\/\/www.keyanofaculty.ca\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/Specialized-Training-Form.pdf &nbsp; Specialized training is limited to a period of sixteen weeks, or less.
